Congratulations to Our Boston Marathon Runners
The 15-40 Connection Boston Marathon runners are raising funds to support public outreach efforts. The more we can invest in informing 15 to 40-year-olds that cancer is the leading cause of disease-related death for this age group and the importance of being aware of your normal health and taking action if you notice a change - the more lives we can save.
Make a donation (in the message box please indicate that your donation is to support their Boston Marathon efforts).
About Our Runners
Diane Stokes is the Co-Founder of Oncology Rehab Partners, a company dedicated to advance survivorship care through its STAR Products. Additionally, through her coaching company, FitBricks, Diane is a triathlon coach and personal trainer where she has extensive experience coaching athletes of all levels and abilities, including cancer survivors. In her quest to raise awareness to advance survivorship care, she has dedicated her 2010 triathlon and running season to raise money for 15-40.org. She completed the Boston Marathon on April 19, 2010 in honor of 15-40.org.
Chris Howell is the Northeast Regional Manager for Ferraz Shawmut, an electrical protection device manufacturer based in Newburyport, MA. Chris's major focus is on his two teenage children. Chris started his running career just a few years ago and the 2010 Boston Marathon was his first. The trifecta of career, kids, and running has filled most of his time over the past few years. Chris is running to support the 15-40.org with the need of early detection of cancer in those age brackets. Chris is driven to compete to lend moral support to his Godmother who is currently fighting this disease. "Aunt Eileen, you keep fighting and I'll keep running."
